Tom Ford fully sequined full length gown, Fall Winter 2016
This dress featured as the penultimate look on the runway modelled by Carolyn Murphy, it featured in the season campaign, and it was worn by one of Ford's muses; Julianne Moore, whilst presenting him with an award for Nocturnal Animals at the Hollywood Film Awards.

Ford has spoken about how growing up in the 1970s influenced his taste, and cited Bob Mackie as a huge inspiration. The way the sequins are arranged on this showstopper remind me so much of Mackie's 1980s flame dress.

The dress is 100% silk and completely covered in sequins, the silk in both black and white to form a backdrop for the sequins in black, red, pink and white. At only nine years old it's bound to be a future vintage from Ford's eponymous brand.

Condition: Excellent; with a handful of sequins missing — only noticeable upon very close inspection.
