Alberta Ferretti black sheer silk and velvet gown, Spring Summer 2003
Very similar seen on runway.
Floor-length gown crafted from beautiful, delicate silk chiffon with velvet panels to the skirt — accented by black floral embroidery.
Plunging neckline at both front and back.
Classic Ferretti romanticism emphasising fluid draping and weightless silk, with a slight gothic edge.
Missing its original black slip dress. Worn on the red carpet by Helene de Fougerolles in 2003 — I have included a photo to demonstrate how the dress transforms when worn with a slip.
Composition and size missing but estimated an IT 42 and is absolutely silk.
Good vintage condition with some very small snags to silk chiffon, pictured, and not noticeable once a slip is worn under.
